Troy Center for Transition: About Us
We are a program serving students with special needs ages 18-26 who reside in the Troy School District. Our program focuses on increasing independence through teaching functional academics, vocational training, daily living skills, and communication.
The adult transition program (ATP) is committed to an empathic understanding of every student in our care. We believe all students can learn and grow. Our goal is for students to maximize their full potential, have a full meaningful life and to be active members of their community.
Our program utilizes a tiered model to meet the needs of our students’ various abilities. Each tier utilizes student focused planning and provides students with functional academic skills, life skills, social skills, and vocational skills. We focus on a collaborative approach working with an interagency framework.
